Cookie banner (window shades) and any other tracking tools

1. What is a cookie banner or window shade?

A cookie banner or window shade is an informative window that appears on a website when a user first visits, and gives various information on the presence of cookies or other electronic trackers on the site. It must also make it possible to collect the informed and prior consent of the user as to the use of these tracking tools  where the site processes personal data.

2. Why embed a cookie banners on your site?

The European Directive 2002/58 / EC known as “E-privacy” has established a legal obligation, for any website using cookies or tracking tools, to inform its users of their presence. The entry into force of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) however, substantially strengthened the requirements for cookie banners. Similarly, the French Data Protection Board; CNIL’s new guidelines on the subject largely overflow in the direction of strengthening the requirements related to the management of cookies, by disqualifying the implied consent of a purely informative banner. As mentioned above, they now have a determining role in the collection or renewal of the user’s explicit consent (for more on this topic, see our editorial).

Following the first call, we will send you a quote, a link to make the payment and a letter of commitment that you must return signed by email. Upon receipt of the letter of commitment and confirmation of payment, we will start processing your request. To do this, a second call of 45 minutes will allow us to identify the specific needs of your organisation to deliver a tailor-made service. 2 working days (flexible period defined by the parties in the case of complex requests) after the second call, we will get back to you via email for the execution of the service. You will also receive a link simultaneously which will enable you book an appointment for a third call of 15 minutes during which we will present you the result of our work in a detailed way and will submit you personalised recommendations.
